Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for individuals interested in our sorter position. Multiple shifts to fill at this time.

The position details:

• Stands on an elevated platform and sorts recyclable materials off of a moving conveyor belt; carries garbage can up and down the stairs on the machine on curbside recycling sorter
• Separates materials and places them in the appropriate bin on the C&D recycling sorter
• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into designated areas according to type, size, condition, color, or paper grade
• Pull contaminants off of conveyor belt

• Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping

• Report system problems immediately to management

• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area.

• Dump boxes and containers of material into the designated area(s)

Qualifications and Skills

- Must be able to stand for more than 8.50 hours

- Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds constantly; able to lift 11 - 50 pounds occasionally

- Must be able to carry 10 - 50 pounds occasionally

- Ability to learn quickly and exercise good judgment
