The Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing solutions that will address and resolve a client’s business issues, while providing confidence in our technology platforms. The Solutions Engineer is fluent in Document management (ECM) software products as well as simple to advanced front end capture products converting physical documents into electronic document that can be stored safely as well as creating a more efficient way to locate documents. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for implementing the solutions into the client environment, ensuring client satisfactions with new process flows. Engineer uses a consultative sales approach and values importance of teamwork.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provides Pre and Post-sales support to front line sales.
- Assists with Statements of Work (SOW) as well as the approval of them.
- Design and test software solutions prior to implementation.
- Provides detailed demo content and proof of software integration.
- Provides software demonstration’s to potential clients.
- Performs installations either on-site or remotely.
- Provides training to new and existing clients on the products sold.
- Provides support for end users and client IT departments, either on-site or remotely.
- Works closely with software vendors to maintain support for bug fixes and latest updates.
- Ensure client satisfaction and practice effective relations skills.
- Continue to stay up to date with server and client operations systems.
- Knowledge of XML, Java, VB, SQL, CITRIX, VMWARE and IIS.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate and interact with clients, Field Engineers, sales, management and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professional.
- Set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping Customer Care informed of location and activities.
- Be self-motivated, flexible and take initiative.
- Work as a team player by continually learning and sharing knowledge.
- Maintain awareness of the status for all projects to ensure that there are no technical problems.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience
- MCSE or equivalent experiences a plus
- Software Vendor certifications are a plus
- Field Engineer FE grade 6
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management abilities
- Results driven with ability to delegate
- Excellent analytical abilities
