Healogics, Inc. has an opening for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team!
Job Duties: Responsible for the design and development of multi-tiered web applications for an Application Service Provider (ASP). Perform detailed design of individual components and implement user interface, business logic, and database layers to help advance Healogics in the marketplace. Contribute to the complete software development cycle using Agile methodologies. Design and write code that meets Healogics requirements for quality, performance, and usefulness within project timelines. Contribute as part of a cross-functional team, alongside Healogics Product and QA teams, to deliver high quality solutions and participate in key architectural design decisions. Work with team members to ensure projects have accurate estimates, meet provided timelines and fulfill requirements. Design and implement enterprise level software solutions in leading best design practices. Implement extensible and scalable cloud-based solutions and in mobile application development. Partner with technical leadership, business partners, and colleagues to identify practical solutions for achieving business objectives. Partner with product team to provide guidance on project requirements. Design, develop, test, and deliver quality code that provides intended business functionality or intended platform processing benefit. Lead large scale projects with multiple team members. Assist with packaging and deployment of application components, services, and processes. Participate in code reviews. Provide guidance to technical team members. Work to raise overall level of technical expertise within the team. Troubleshoot problems and provide options for possible solutions. Perform other duties as required.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field of study and seven (7) years of experience in software or product development technical role.
The position also requires at least one certification as Oracle Certified Java Developer or Cloudera Certified Data Engineer and five (5) years of experience with the following: leading/developing technical teams and identifying skill gaps; advising technical development teams in industry development languages; enforcing quality processes measure and takes corrective action to ensure coding standards are met through regular code quality reviews; identifying and adhering to industry best practices; and working with and streamlining EMR. The position also requires seven (7) years of experience with the following: Java, HTML5/CSS, Javascript, and/or native iOS and/or Android mobile or web application development; SQL and NOSQL databases; data engineering, data analytics tools and frameworks (Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, YAML, Java/J2EE, Restful webservices, Spring framework, and Progress Chef); big data technologies and frameworks (Datastax Cassandra, Amazon Dynamo, Amazon RDS, MySQL & Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server, ElasticSearch, Oracle 11g, 12c); Cloud-based enterprise software application development (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud platform), Application and DevOps tools (GitHub, Mirth Connect, SonarCloud, JUnit, Pingdom, WinScp, Putty, FTP, Kony, Mobile Fabric, Xcode); system architectural design; Agile development lifecycle processes; and coordinate and facilitate vendor relationships and meetings.
