Reporting Solutions Architect


Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Classification: Exempt

Status: Full-Time, Hybrid

Reports to: Manager of Data Analytics & Reporting


Purpose

The Reporting Solutions Architect assists the Manager of Data Analytics & Reporting in defining technical standards, creating a repeatable development and code promotion process, and guiding the team to consistent usage. The ideal candidate will understand the healthcare industry, as well as substantive experience in SQL (including stored procedures and functions), SSIS, reporting, and analytic technologies. They will work closely with the development team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet defined business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, users, and other team members to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver reports.
  • Define technical standards for the development team to follow that will ensure consistent results and shorten the development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts to support reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for reporting solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and data dictionaries.
  • Guide and mentor team members to consistently use best practices and follow a standard development process.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues related to reporting solutions and implement solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Pharmacy or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database management, report development, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry (preferably specialty pharmacy) processes, applications, and data models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively as part of a team.


Work Environment
