INSTRUCTOR

● Schedule: Part-time, M-F afternoons from 1:00-6:00 PM.

**Looking to start IMMEDIATELY**

Qualifications:

● Experience: Two years of working in a school or community youth organizations.
● Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
● Completion of forty-eight units from a nationally accredited college or university, or A.A. degree or higher; or the passage of a local assessment test or enrolled currently in a college/university program.

● Knowledge and experience in STEAM teaching
● Passionate about teaching (Coaching/teaching experience encouraged)
● Ability to work with elementary-aged kids (Grades K-6)
● Efficient class management skills
● Reliable transportation
● Valid driver’s license or State ID
● Required to clear a background check via online/live scan
● Available between 1:00 - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
● Must be fully vaccinated with COVID 19 vaccinations

Responsibilities:

● Enforce FUSD behavioral standards and rules
● Provide appropriate and approved disciplinary action
● Effectively communicate with student, parents, site administration, and Program Manager
● Lead staff program meetings
● Evaluate program effectiveness
● Coordinate student and parent showcase
● Ensure the classroom is left clean and material are picked up
● Ensure that instructional materials are set-up and available for all classes
● Ensure safe practice and procedures are followed
● Assist with placement of staff and students
● Maintain staff and student attendance for site
● Work with site administration to identify and assign classrooms and other facilities as needed
● Ensure that all staff and students wear masks while working indoors at all school locations
● Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned STEAM Curriculum Kits
● Be responsive to communications from management
● Manages each class session, ensuring the children are safe, engaged, and having fun
● Completes all training programs as required by the Area Manager
● Understands the curriculum and concepts thoroughly to be able to provide value to participants with diverse abilities and interests
● Fulfill the position of tutors and instructors in lieu of their absence
● Facilitating in-person workshops and after-school enrichment programs for children from preschool through elementary school
● Deliver high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on programs.

Benefits:

● Salary: $25.00 Hourly
● Schedule: Part-time, M-F afternoons from 1:00-6:00 PM
● Position Starts in October with paid training starting in September
● BONUS: $300 for completing three full consecutive sessions (Fall, Winter, and Spring)

We are currently looking for positive and energetic individuals to join our growing team. This is a part-time and somewhat seasonal position, as the CAL-W program follows FUSD school calendar and is presented year-round. Your five hour work day is Monday through Friday and includes set-up and clean-up time. We invest in your success by providing training in the curriculum and providing all materials. This is a rewarding position if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle.

You will be assigned to a FUSD school site. Your primary focus will be to facilitate an after-school enrichment program for children from preschool through elementary school and be a liaison between FUSD staff and the Program Manager.
