Job description

The Solutions Center is looking to hire a Full-Time Employee (FTE) Case Manager for a total of 18 months, or 78 weeks. Office space for the position will be located at the Solutions Center.

Duties of the Abuse in Later Life (ALL) Case Manager will include, but are not limited to:

· Meet with abuse in later life (ALL) victims, ages 50 and older, to address immediate needs and safety concerns. Services will be provided at a location most convenient for the victim, including hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, senior centers, etc.

· Connect victims with appropriate assistance programs and services.

· Provide victims with appropriate referrals, d. Safety plan with victims.

· Accompany the victim to appointments, as necessary, and assist in locating appropriate emergency housing or transportation services, as needed.

· Collect data to report to the Muskie School of Public Service

· Provide outreach services to victims and the community.

Candidate will exude the following qualifications:

College degree in gerontology, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, or like field preferred but not required.

Knowledge of Lawrence County community resources

Compassion for seniors and victims of abuse

Excellent computer and typing skills

Available to attend trainings relevant to employment

Professional appearance & personality

Ability to lead presentations and to educate community on SINPALL topics

*Hours required are 32 per week *(9 – 5 M-Th); Working from home is a possible benefit
