Duties and Responsibilities
POSITION
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Senior Director of the Center for Simulation, the Simulation Technician primarily provides overall support to the Clinical Simulation Learning Laboratory (CSLL) at Lakeshore Campus through the set-up and implementation of educational sessions. Responsibilities include the operation of mid- and high-fidelity simulators, and the assembly and maintenance of basic medical equipment.
Position will be mostly based out of the Lakeshore Campus in Rogers Park, but will require occasional support of the Health Science Campus’ Center for Simulation Education, as needed.
Schedule will vary each Fall and Spring semester, and will include approximately 24 days at 7 hours per day, each semester.

Organizational (70%)
Maintenance (30%)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizational (70%)
- Set-up and break-down of scheduled simulation and lab activities.
- Operate high-fidelity manikins during simulation sessions.
- Participate in simulations as confederate actor, as needed.
Maintenance (30%)
- Assemble and maintain (clean, calibrate) all standard medical equipment, including manikins.
- Repair and replace parts as needed.
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe environment.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Associate Degree in medical/allied health profession, computer science, and/or education related fields or comparable training, require.
1-3 years comparable work experience required.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Associate Degree in medical/allied health profession, computer science, and/or education related fields or comparable training, required.
