BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN Reports To
The Body Shop Technicians will report to the Body Shop Manager.

Job Overview
Body Shop Technicians fix vehicles after they’ve been damaged in an accident or other incident. They use a wide array of tools to cut off old parts, connect new parts to the car, fill holes, repair scratches, dents, and dings, and make the car look as good as new.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with customers and maintain open communication regarding costs, repair time, and any changes that may occur.
• Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages
• Return the vehicle back to factory specifications
• Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
• Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack
• File, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Perform gel coat / paint cosmetic repairs
• Maintain inventory and materials
• Complete repair work utilizing workflow and reporting systems in allotted time frames
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• 1-year experience in automotive body shop preferred
• 1-year experience in automotive setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective Communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment with the ability to adapt to changes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Auto body repair: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
