The Maintenance Manager will provide supervision and support to all Team Members and projects happening in the transportation shop at our Statesville flour mill. This will include:
  • Hiring, training, setting priorities for, and directing the work of the Maintenance Team
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with maintenance standards, inspections, and safety rules utilizing a CMS system (Manager +)
  • Manage the purchasing and use of parts, supplies, and tire inventory
  • Work with the Maintenance Team to establish and maintain a clean and organized shop facility and inventory area and maintain a standard of cleanliness of the transportation fleet
  • Coordinate with and provide counsel to other Managers regarding maintenance needs
This job is primarily day hours but there will be times you need to work after hours, including weekends.

Requirements of a successful Shop Maintenance Manager:
  • Must be familiar with computers and have an understanding of maintenance systems and truck, engine and transmission diagnostic software
  • Must be familiar with record-keeping as it pertains to maintenance of DOT regulations
  • Must have a good working knowledge of diesel tractors and pneumatic, bottom dump, and box trailers and all aspects of diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining these assets
  • Has supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership of maintenance teams
  • Has a current CDL with tanker endorsement and current DOT qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of maintenance duties (climb a ladder, climb into and out of cab, lift 50lbs. or more, be able to climb, crawl, carry and position body in such a way that will enable you to perform maintenance duties)
  • You will be required to wear PPE
