Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Gift Shop Attendant. As a Gift Shop Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting and purchasing gifts, and maintaining an attractive and organized gift shop. Your role will contribute to creating a positive and memorable shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the perfect gifts for various occasions.

• Provide knowledgeable product information, including features, benefits, and pricing, to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

• Process sales transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system, including credit cards, and other forms of payment.

• Maintain the cleanliness and visual appeal of the gift shop, including dusting, organizing displays, and restocking merchandise.

• Arrange and create attractive product displays to showcase new arrivals, seasonal items, and promotions.

• Assist customers in locating specific items or suggesting alternative products if the desired item is unavailable.

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Monitor and replenish inventory levels, notifying the supervisor when items are low or out of stock.

• Collaborate with the purchasing department to identify popular and trending gift items, making recommendations for product selection and restocking.

• Stay updated on industry trends and new product releases to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a gift shop or boutique setting, is desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.

• Creative and artistic flair for arranging attractive product displays.

• Familiarity with using POS systems and handling sales transactions.

• Knowledge of gift items, including popular brands, trends, and gift-wrapping techniques, is an advantage.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
