Job title Shipping Supervisor for 1st Shift

Reports to Director, Manufacturing Operations

Job purpose

• The Shipping Supervisor oversees 10-15 shipping/warehouse employees. The ideal candidate plans and assigns tasks in an efficient manner to meet production and quality goals all while maintaining the highest level of safety possible. This position is also responsible for promoting a continuous improvement environment.

Duties and responsibilities

• Promote a clean, safe and orderly working environment.
• Ensure safe organizational strategies for effective shipping.
• Recognize and communicates necessary maintenance issues to Facilities Manager.
• Manage raw material and supporting product requirements.
• Ensure effective employee relations by providing coaching and development.
• Manage employee issues through effective conflict resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and employee morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Track absenteeism and time keeping per company rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of successful Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Shipping / Receiving a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve positive results.

Physical requirements

This position requires the successful individual to be able to bend, push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs. as well as stand for 10 hour shifts.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.85 per hour
