We are hiring a Shipping Processor at our Janesville, Wisconsin distribution center.

• Monday - Friday (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• 18 days paid time off

In this full time Shipping Processor role, you will be responsible for safe and accurate shipment processing functions including carrier routing decisions based on shipment weight, customer requirements and destination location. Provide back up in the absence of the Shipping Coordinator.

Specifically, you will:

• Ship customer orders using Parcel Manifesting system including accurate data entries, Bill of Lading, manifest printing, Canadian export documents and other carrier documentation. Ensure delivery within customer requirements.
• Accurately perform shipment research to include tracking and VOC research. Provide input on resolution and process improvements as needed.
• Provide assistance in identifying and resolving system issues.
• Sort, Check and Pack customer orders verifying correct unit quantities, using scanners, proper packing materials, packing guidelines involving hazardous materials.
• Maintain current training certification in HAZMAT shipping. Pack and Ship hazardous materials following vendor and government regulations.
• Maintain current training certification in foreign shipping. Pack and Ship Foreign products following US and Foreign Customs regulations.
• Prepare orders for shipment including; palletizing and wrapping, loading and unloading trucks, scheduling carrier pick-ups, rate quoting and special instructions to carriers.
• Review order information variances with Shipping Crew Leader or Coordinator.
• Observe all safety regulations and promote safe working habits.
• Maintain good housekeeping and stock shipping station with the necessary packaging materials and supplies.

Your background should include:

• High school diploma/GED equivalent and valid state driver’s license
• One year of general warehouse/distribution knowledge.
• One year of manufacturing or warehousing operating experience and experience with ship manifesting, shipment of parcel, truck shipments, handling of hazardous materials.
