Job Description


Opportunity at a Glance

The Shipping Coordinator coordinates all items, incoming and outgoing, by routing/shipping to their respective destinations in a timely manner and maintain adequate office and break room supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares items for shipment including the preparation of all required documents, such as invoices, for international shipments.
  • Places orders for and maintains inventory of office and break room supplies. This includes the warehousing and distribution of supplies to user departments.
  • Processes inbound mail, recording its receipt and its delivery to recipients.
  • Meters outbound mail.
  • Receives, verifies for accuracy and approves for payment bills from carriers (UPS, FedEx, NEMF) and vendors (Culligan, Aramark).
  • Runs daily deposits to the bank and Post Office.
  • Services Copiers/Printers (Clearing paper jams, changing toner).
  • Deposits/retrieves materials stored in outside storage facilities.
  • Deposits/retrieves of materials stored in outside storage facilities.
  • Relocates office furniture when necessary.
  • Completes documentation for customs (invoices, SED’s, bills of lading.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1 year operating the Pitney Bowes DM1000 and minimum 1year packing fragile goods Required and
  • Experience storing medical supplies and ability to properly preserve heat sensitive items in transit to the campuses. Required and
  • Experience using Excel. Required and
  • Previous experience clearing paper jams, changing the toner cartridges. Required
  • Capable of assembling office equipment;
  • and of driving the company van.

Additional Information


In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $14.17 and $23.29. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
