POSITION: CREW LEADER
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: MANAGER ON DUTY
STATUS: HOURLY, NON-EXEMPT
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Assists management in implementing the operations of a Sonic
Drive-in. Participates and maintains an “Employer of Choice” environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The fundamental responsibilities and job duties include, but are
not limited to:
1. Assists management by working with crew members in a manner that ensures the preparation
(portion control), temperature, packaging, appearance, presentation, and quality of all menu
items meet operational standards.
2. Consistently reinforces to crew members the importance of placing guests’ needs first.
3. Immediately responds to guest requests in a respectful manner. Reports guest complaints to
an immediate supervisor and assists in resolving such complaints.
4. Reports for scheduled shift, presents a professional appearance and wears the appropriate
uniform.
5. Participates in training and career development programs.
6. Is aware of and adheres to compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
7. Assists in training and orientation of crew members.
8. Monitors the drive-in working environment for potential employee issues and reports issues to
a member of the management team.
9. Works in a manner that is respectful to others and free of discrimination, harassment and
inappropriate conduct.
10. Complies with the Carhop Cash Handling Policy.
11. Complies with the drive-in mystery shop program.
12. Supports ongoing marketing programs.
13. Complies with Sonic’s food safety program.
14. Complies with all safety and security procedures.
15. Immediately reports all guest or employee accidents to a member of the drive-in management
team.
16. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
1. General knowledge of restaurant operations.
2. Effective communication skills.
3. Basic math and basic reading skills.
4. Able to multi-task primary job responsibilities.
5. Follow up with complete assigned duties.
6. Communicates the Sonic Mission Statement and Core Values.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry (QSR preferred) or retail
operations is required. Six months in retail or food service operations and/or
equivalent Sonic experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
