Opportunity
We are looking for Team Leads to provide direction and support to Operators in specific departments. Team Leads will ensure people and processes in assigned areas are performing standardized work. Areas of primary focus are safety, quality, delivery, cost and associate engagement while aligning with Kohler’s core competencies which include Building Trust, Setting High Standards, Continuous Improvement and Focusing on the End Customer.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Ensure a safe work environment
Ensure startup meetings are happening
Report any safety issues to the Supervisor immediately, including near misses
Monitor interactions between Operator and processes
Train Team Members to ensure standards are followed
Audit parts from each tote or pallet
Ensure all completed pallets or totes are properly scanned into SAP
Inform Quality and Supervisors about all non-conforming material
Ensure all non-conforming material is properly contained, tagged, and identified
Ensure appropriate staffing for production
Support production needs for the Set-ups and Teams
Manage the Managing Daily Improvement process
Lead the Problem-Solving Process
Involve team members in the Problem-Solving Process
Maintain standard work documents
Follow Leader Standard Work for Team Leads
Train and certify Set-ups and Operators on the job
Shift to shift communication with other Team Leads
Accurately review, communicate, and file end of shift paperwork
Develop the people on your team and ensure constant learning
Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation and California Health and Safety Code.
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years of industrial manufacturing related experience
Minimum 1 year leadership experience
Successful completion of Kohler math skills test
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated and shows ability to motivate others

Preferred:
2-year technical degree
Experience with Microsoft Office applications in Excel and Microsoft Word and any experience with SAP business systems
High sense of urgency
Positive and driven attitude
Ability to build trust
