J.R. Hobbs is a leading mechanical contractor providing design, build, plan, and installation of HVAC systems. We have our own sheet metal fabrication business (CFM) that, among other things, supports our expansive HVAC business.

We have a great opportunity for a talented fabricator with a strong work ethic, a great teamwork attitude, and an eye for quality. We will train the right candidate on our equipment and processes.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of sheet metal fabrication, forming, or related experience.
• Ability to learn and apply fabrication skills across multiple shaping and forming tools and equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Uses various bending, shaping, and cutting equipment to fashion sheet metal duct joints and an array of other sheet metal parts.
• Able to follow basic diagrams.
• Handy with basic power tools.
• Able to read measurements in inches and feet.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Able to read and communicate in English.
• Able to lift to 50 pounds on and off through the day, to move material and finished items.
• Able to work on feet all shift.
• Will occasionally use a manual pallet jack to move material.
• Reliable, flexible, strong work ethic, team player.
• Work indoors in a warehouse setting, protected from the elements. Fan for airflow, but not air-conditioned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
