Title: SharePoint Consultant (Operational Support) SharePoint Consultant Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for operational support within the SharePoint environment. Duties and responsibilities are listed as: Provide ongoing production support for SharePoint Interact with Stakeholders/Customers to gather requirements and build prototypes or solutions based on the client requirements using best practices and patterns of “out of the box” Assist Stakeholders/Customers to identify shortcomings, analyze existing process, and recommend process improvements Provide site design, and coding with Stakeholders/Customers SharePoint sites. Create and maintain SharePoint templates. Support the migration to SharePoint 2019 from SharePoint 2007. Support sites hosted in SharePoint Online, including but not limited to scripting, maintaining configurations, and adhering to governance/best practices for SharePoint Online. Support the design, development, and maintenance of applications for SharePoint that take advantage of standard web technologies, such as JavaScript, OAuth, OData, HTML 5.0+, CSS 3.0+ Support in the design solutions based on established patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management. Attend internal and external customer meetings as required Provide technical advice to team members and customers Qualifications Required Skills Highly self-motivated and self-directed; has ability to manage entire project from inception to closure, with full documentation. A minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience and 3 years working with SharePoint. Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint 2019 and Microsoft Office suite of applications. Hands-on experience supporting sites with custom SharePoint 2019 solutions. In depth understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019 and Office 365/SharePoint Online. SharePoint experience must include supporting sites with custom workflows with SharePoint Designer, JSOM, JavaScript, Visual Studio, JQuery, CAML, custom web parts, and customization. Experience administering sites hosting apps using JavaScript object model (JSOM), and REST endpoints. Demonstrated experience working with users to document requirements Demonstrated automation experience MSSQL, MS Access MySQL, DB2 Excellent customer service and communications skills. Analytical skills to discover business problems, identify possible causes, and design quick and effective solutions. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. (Preferred)  Preferred Skills: Experience with SharePoint customization including Master Pages and branding Knowledge of SharePoint components, architecture, configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Experience with SharePoint content migration Experience in the following: C#, Visual Studio Workflows, SharePoint Server-Side Object Model (SSOM), and SharePoint Client-Side Object Model (CSOM) Experience with Nintex Process-centric. Ideally Six Sigma Certified. Experience migrating existing SSIS reports to Sharepoint Online. Experience with governance planning Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) (Preferred)
