Summary:

This position is responsible for the technical operations and overall management of the laboratory section. Technical operations include all laboratory procedures and technical performance of all laboratory personnel and are performed under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director. Management includes staff supervision and assignments and compliance with Hospital policies and procedures and any other area as directed by the Administration Office and/or the Laboratory Director. Provides patient care/services for all stages of the lifespan including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Experience:

• A minimum of two years of laboratory experience is required.
• Experience in which supervisory skills have been demonstrated.
• Phlebotomy experience within the hospital setting is preferred.

• Certified MLS (MT) or MLT with appropriate credentials from ASCP, AMT, ASMT, or evidence of equivalent education, experience, and proficiency.
