Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Supplier Relations Professional to work in aftermarket support of Saab’s Regional Aircraft at our Ashburn, Virginia office.

Responsibilities include:

• Procurement and relationship responsibility with suppliers in the aviation industry
• Participate in or be responsible for supplier negotiations and contract writing
• Lead internal purchasing teams to optimal decisions and actions to keep customer commitments regarding support of their Saab aircraft
• Develop strategies and action plans to ensure supplier quality and on time performance
• Develop and improve ways of working to meet an aftermarket that requires reliable and cost-conscious solutions
• Track supplier performance metrics for continuous improvement and strategic initiatives
• Work with the supplier management Team in Sweden with regards to tactical/strategic decisions related to contract management
• Conducting flow down analysis to ensure compliance to business requirements
• Identify and qualify potential component repair vendors

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Aptitude for creating relationships
• Solid business acumen
• Advanced Purchasing experience
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Strong Communicator/interpersonal Relationships
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Excellent presentation skills
• Must be able to travel
