Senior Timekeeper - Pocola

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Senior Timekeeper, you will ensure all payroll and attendance related tasks are processed properly. You will be a resource and provide leadership to Payroll Specialists. You will report to the HR Timekeeping Supervisor.

Pay: $23.35

Days: Monday - Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Primary Tasks:

  • Process payroll bi-weekly and maintain payroll and attendance related records.

  • Verify and enter missed punches. Input time corrections / entries. Assist managers with time corrections / entries and ensure the accurate processing and entry of timekeeping for all associates at the assigned locations.

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.

  • Compile, review, and verify multiple reports (tip, overtime, turnover, and attendance) for accuracy; make necessary adjustments or corrections.

  • Initiate payroll processing quality assurance reviews: identify training issues and problem prone processes to ensure error-free operations.

  • Track vacation, personal, and sick leave, for associates. Check associate schedules and unexcused absences.

  • Analyze and respond to complex questions and discrepancies requiring comprehensive knowledge of established policies and follow up to ensure corrections are made. Be an employee liaison with regard to HR policies and programs by getting issues raised and addressed and responding to their need for information on policies, procedures, benefits, and pay.

  • Coordinate schedules and conduct training sessions for managers and supervisors on proper completion/submission of forms related to time and attendance.

  • Establish new hires in the KRONOS timekeeping system and provide guidance and assistance to associates to communicate their responsibilities regarding payroll/timekeeping.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Knowledge of payroll principles and procedures.

  • Proficient in all payroll processes including timecards, attendance, and tips

  • Focus on details while keeping the larger goals in context, take ownership for multiple assignments, prioritize work, delegate when needed.

  • Use computer products to create spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), charts, and word-processing documents.

  • Be confidential and above all give the best customer service.

  • One (1) years of prior payroll experience
