ELOS Environmental, LLC (ELOS) is seeking a Waste Technician for our Waste Management Services Department within the Chalmette Refinery. A drug screening test will be required for this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Support ELOS’ Waste Management Team within the Chalmette Refinery
• Operating a forklift throughout the refinery to assist in the disposal of waste
• Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required
• Must have experience with operating a forklift
• Must have strong communication skills (in person and via radio and phone)
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as necessary
• Must be capable of completing daily and weekly assignments on schedule
• Must be able to pass a drug screening prior to and during employment
• Ability to transition from one assignment to another on short notice
• Must have a positive working attitude
• Willing to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.98 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Chalmette, LA 70043: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Preferred)
• TWIC Card (Required)
