Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our US Navy customer Strategic Systems Programs, in Washington, DC

In this position you will support the nation’s most reliable deterrent, while assisting the engineering team in the areas of design, development and production. Arcfield has held this contract for over sixty-five years and closely teams with the Navy to accomplish this mission. Offices are located near the Washington Navy Yard within sight of the Nation’s Capital and with easy access to public transportation (Green line on the Metro).

Responsibilities
What you will do....
  • Support the Navy in the development, test and production phases of a new weapon design
  • Serve as technical secretary for various DoD/DOE working groups.
  • Analyze and trace requirements.
  • Review and comment on detailed test plans and reports.
  • Analyze detailed schedules in support of EVMS.
  • Assess the design and production efforts of the Design and Production Agents.
  • Serve as independent evaluator for formal design development, integration, qualification, and production reviews.
  • Interface with SSP, Joint Staff, DTRA, Army, Navy, DOE (NNSA), OSD, and contractor personnel.
  • Represent the Navy customer at various meetings when they cannot be present.

  • You have a BS in a technical field with 8-10 years of experience.
  • You have experience with weapons development.
  • You possess strong technical writing skills.
  • You have a final Top-Secret Clearance.

  • Have a Master’s Degree with 6-8 years of experience.
  • Understand the nuclear weapons development process.
  • Have experience with DOORS.
  • Have experience with Model Based System Engineering.
  • Have a DOE Q clearance.
