The Sr Strategic Energy Solutions Manager is a customer focused, technical solutions sales position that will be driving the growth of revenue and adoption of new Xcel Energy services such as Xcel’s clean transportation programs. The SESM will proactively identify, qualify, develop and close new business opportunities within a defined geographic territory with existing and new areas of an Xcel customer. This position requires strong talents in both sales development and technical skill sets.

Essential Responsibilities

• 
  Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics focused on securing new business with target accounts and key decision makers.
• Plan, facilitate and conduct multifaceted, negotiations for the sale of complex, high-value, multi-year contracts for solutions in line with organizational and individual revenue targets and quotas.
• Lead and manage entire sales process including prospecting, identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large commercial and industrial for energy resiliency related projects that can include microgrids, backup generation, energy storage, renewable energy assets.
• Collaborate with business partners to understand industry trends, competitors, market indicators, pricing strategies and develop the value propositions for customers.
• Provide customer feedback to help develop new, innovative solutions and achieve exemplary customer experiences.

Minimum Requirements

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8+ years of industry-related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
• Ability to clearly understand project financials.
• Demonstrate exceeding sales and performance metrics.
• Demonstrate expertise in creating and executing sales plans for complex projects.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to successfully collaborate with customers to drive major projects.
• High technical aptitude.
• Ability to work and contribute as an effective team player in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft products.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $131,300 to $166,366 per year
