Sterilizer Operator (Day Crew) 7:00am-7:00pm - rotating 12 hour shifts
What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading and running the sterilizer system
• Operate forklift, PIT, motorized pallet jacks, or other equipment as required.
• Leading maintenance through sterilizer chamber
• Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
• Cross train in any and/or all areas as assigned by the department supervisor and/or group leader
• Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the finished product being produced according to established guidelines in the manufacturing procedures.
• Obtain/Posses knowledge of Sterilization operations.
• Assign and schedule tasks for themselves and Sterilization Material Handler.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must successfully complete Radiation Safety Training for licensing by the State of Florida.

• Must successfully complete RSO licensing requirements

• Works with limited supervision
• Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
• May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
