Assist the Senior Manager in creating tournament and sponsorship strategies while assuring proper support of pro staff and contracted events on site. Work with Supervisor Pro Staff and Constituent Communication to assure Yamaha receives maximum value from its contractual relationships. Represent Yamaha at events where and when necessary, delegating to others when necessary.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and create proposals for opportunities that will drive forward brand objectives.
• Manage the contract renewal process for all sponsorships and Yamaha Pro Staff, in direct negotiations with each party, according to policy and budget.
• Credibly convey all Yamaha Marine Marketing messages, including outboard product messages, Marine rigging and Parts messages, propeller and others as assigned.
• Responsible for determining on-site brand support and marketing initiatives at tournaments and sponsored activities.
• Responsible for implementing on-site display and marketing materials to support tournament events.
• Work closely with Marketing Team to ensure product delivery and fulfillment of all contractual obligations to events and anglers, and assure adherence to internal controls relative to all contracts
• Responsible for delivering event reports for inter-department communication of market trends/happenings.
• Maintain and organize accurate files for all promotional activities, including pro staff, events, and vendors.
• Assign fulfilment of promotional items to tournament sites, dealerships, and anglers.
• Represent Yamaha Marine in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner when on-site, at events, while interacting with business partners, internal departments and assist to ensure adherence to all value obligations in the field, such as logos/apparel and appearances.
• This position will be making decisions regarding Sponsorships and Pro Staff Agreements. These decisions will be made in line with corporate policy and budget.

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in business, marketing, communications, or psychology.
• 1-3 years field marketing experience preferred.
• Must be curious, inquisitive, growth-oriented thinker.
• Ability to travel alone over extended periods of time including weekends.
• Ability to manage heavy travel (40%) requirements in conjunction with in-house duties.
• Requires considerable initiative and judgement under limited supervision.
• Requires working knowledge of all MS Office applications
• Efficient email skills.
• Industry-specific knowledge and experience in boating, fishing and tournament activities helpful.
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills; ability to complete multiple projects with short deadlines; ability to prioritize workload; detail oriented.
