Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

As a Senior Scientist, you will provide analytical testing support as requested by the client. This position could be involved with HPLC/UPLC (Waters / Empower 2 or 3) ELISA, Gel and Capillary Electrophoresis as well as other types of analytical assays. This position is based indoors and will primarily be working with others, but also independently and alone at times. This position is a team-based position that may require the occasional preplanned coverage off hours, weekends, and holidays.

Additional responsibilities for the role on-site at a pharma/biotech company:

• Performs a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices.
• Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision.
• May be involved in method development, technical transfers, and validations.
• Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol, and product specifications.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 4+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia, and ICH guidelines
• Have experience in pharmaceutical research and development or in providing analytical chemistry support.
• Possess working knowledge and/or experience in modern biologic analytical techniques, including HPLC, immunological assays (ELISA), gel and capillary electrophoresis, etc.
• Have training in or will be trained in areas such as chromatographic methods, use of analytical tools and other pharmaceutical analysis.
• Have experience with MS Office.
• Have the ability to work effectively in team situations and to work independently as needed. Have the flexibility to succeed in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Have a firm command of the English language and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Time management and project management skills
• Problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
