POSITION SUMMARY

Develop, execute and monitor a Master Sanitation Schedule and Sanitation Procedures Program in order to maintain the highest possible GMP standards with regard to equipment performance. Plan, schedule and direct daily activities of CIP operators, sanitation operators and janitors to ensure efficient operations with the least possible downtime and interference with production operations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Works with production management to plan and schedule work of sanitation teams to meet sanitation schedules while maximizing productivity.
• Train and cross-train sanitation team and direct them to meet sanitation objectives, achieving quality standards and ensuring compliance with Company and GMP policies and procedures.
• Periodically audits sanitation and CIP processes to ensure compliance with SSOPs.
• Implements and oversees plant Master Sanitation programs, and keep all documentation up to date and available for auditors
• Recommends measures to continuously improve sanitation methods and equipment performance.
• Monitor utilization and manage storage of sanitation supplies and chemicals, ordering replacements as needed.
• On behalf of production supervisor to arrange production when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-based area of study is preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/food processing environment with at least one year of leadership in Sanitation.
• Thorough working knowledge of Company GMP, CIP, SSOP and HACCP.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops.
• Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Excellent oral and written communication including ability to read and interpret documents such as SSOP, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, compose routine reports and correspondence.
• Understand production process, personnel arrangement, material handling and certain machine operating.
• Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a must.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret CIP chart;
• Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages, and draw and interpret statistic charts.
