The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC is hiring Equipment & Reliability Engineers. The Equipment Reliability Engineering team is seeking a talented and motivated individual to support production equipment reliability throughout the equipment life cycle.
Our team is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Equipment & Reliability Engineers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs, analyzes and modifies aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling that meet stakeholder requirements.
- Researches, develops, evaluates and integrates robotics, automation, and new technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products.
- Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications.
- Estimates, plans, manages and executes the acquisition and modification of equipment and tooling.
- Develops and implements testing and acceptance to validate performance.
- Creates and maintains related documentation for equipment and tooling, develops preventative maintenance plans and trains personnel as needed.
- Develops and implements interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment and tooling.
- Investigates engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with company procedures.
- Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our North Charleston, SC Facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
- 3 or more years experience do you have working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience with data analysis in Excel
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing high-profile projects and presenting out to stakeholders
- 3 or more years of experience with data analytics
- Proficient with RCCAs and the tools used to conduct them (5 Why, Fishbone, KNOT charts, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with production equipment troubleshooting
- Experience in procuring and supporting automated industrial equipment
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
