Senior Project Leader | FTZ & Import / Export Program

We're currently looking for a Senior Project Leader to work on a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) program for our Lima, OH Fabric Care plant. The project specifically applies to raw materials within the Perfumes (example being products under the Downy brand umbrella) production capability at the site. Our FTZ program was identified as a key cost saving project with forecasted results to be applied at other sites after the initial framework in Lima is stood up. There are multi-million dollar savings of raw material costs available to the North America business by managing raw materials from origin outside of the US via an FTZ. The role will be responsible for training, and coaches site and system leaders on the compliance and regulatory requirements. Facilitates and enables partnerships with appropriate functions e.g., Engineering, Market, Operations, etc. to implement effective work processes, eliminate losses and reduce risk. Building this role within P&G will enable long-term savings & compliance to be sustained.
This position can be location free, but preference is for candidates located in Greater Cincinnati. Position is remote with up to 50% travel to Lima, OH. Further travel is planned for our Coolidge, AZ plant down the line. The working cadence would be for a few weeks on-site, then remote with appropriate travel / lodging being company paid. Candidates must have availability to travel to Lima on 24 hour notice for Customs audits.
Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management and / or other related degrees. Relevant work experience will be looked at in lieu of degree where applicable for each candidate.
Work Experience:
- Must be able to pass US CBP background check
- Must be a Licensed Customs Broker
- Able to get to Lima Ohio within 24 hours of notice for a customs audit
- 5+ years working in Compliance
- 3+ years working with Customs and Border Protection and other partner government agencies
- 1+ years managing an FTZ
- 1+ years experience with project management (Managing a budget, a small project team, and deliverables) required
- Experience starting up an FTZ
- Working knowledge of the U.S. Foreign Trade Zones Program including compliance and best practices
- Working knowledge of the imports, exports, Customs brokerage, HTS classification, inventory control systems, warehousing, and logistics
- Conducting Annual CBPF 216 for Manufacture & Manipulation Filing
- Conducting Annual CBP System Review and Reconciliation
- Working knowledge of Customs Regulations and Procedures
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Computer application background in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as SAP, and OneSource by Thomson Reuters
Starting Salary Range: $100-$143K
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
