This position is responsible for the quality and strategic impact of a complex digital product. The role will help define the unique experience of designing custom and personalized gear for teams; and partner with IT to deliver the global, cross-category platform. Key responsibilities of the role include translating user requirements and consumer feedback into user stories, partnering with IT and key stakeholders to prioritize a robust product backlog and translating analytics and insights into continuous site enhancements. Additionally, this role collaborates with various internal stakeholders, including Markets and other Global Team Sports teams to drive consumer engagement and satisfaction, as well as incremental revenues by delivering digital experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCT STRATEGY & DELIVERY
  • Be accountable for the product success considering the value for the customer and the company (ROI).
  • Specify the product vision and roadmap, as well as user stories considering the value for the customer and the company as well as its role and impact on the adidas digital ecosystem.
  • Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates.
  • Identify and solve dependencies with other product owners to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Support preparation of communication, roll-out and training of new functionalities
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Represent the business for the product, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that their views and requirements are captured in the product backlog.
BACKLOG MANAGEMENT
  • Prioritize the items in your product backlog. Specify the definition-of-done in cooperation with the product team(s).
  • Own the refinement of your product backlog to ensure that the product team(s) is/are delivering the right enhancements to drive consumer and business value.
  • Provide acceptance for delivered backlog items by the team, in line with the definition-of-done.
MONITORING
  • Be accountable for monitoring, optimization and enhancement of the configuration, features and functionalities related to the product.
  • Ensure that objective data sources and feedback are used for the optimization of the product.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS
  • Global Team Sports internal team and Global IT partner organization
  • External agencies and development partners
  • Market business process owners, sales, planning, purchasing teams for input
  • Global BU counterparts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • 8 years of experience working in a Digital, Wholesale and/or eCommerce environment
  • 5+ years working as a Product Owner or product management related role
  • Expert knowledge of Agile working methods e.g. Scrum/Kanban
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
  • Proven ability to define a set of requirements that pinpoint business challenges and identify technical and business changes required to address them
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and the business teams
  • Experience supporting/rolling out initiatives to extended global users and teams
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
  • High resilience and solution-oriented attitude

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/ MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS
  • Degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience
  • Fluent English with foreign language skills a plus
