The Role:

The product team at Actabl seeks a Director of Product Design to drive our design vision. The right person is a relentless and persuasive design advocate; has tremendous people management skills; a deep understanding of product design and UX research; a strong product sense; and an appetite for solving complex, intricate problems.

The Team:

Actabl's Product Design team comprises generalists who can skillfully drive projects from discovery to delivery. Designers at Actabl are adaptable, data-informed, outcome-oriented, and highly collaborative.

You will:

• Develop a vision for UX at Actabl, guiding the team toward it while remaining adaptable
• Guide the partnership of UX with Product, Development, and CX
• Grow the culture of data driven decision making
• Ensure prioritization and investment of UX resources according to business priority
• Ensure accountability of the team to its deliverables
• Continually prioritize the UX investment to business priorities
• Collaborate with Product leadership to evolve the Actabl R&D lifecycle
• Represent UX in strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and high-impact decision making
• Create opportunities for team innovation, collaboration, efficiency, and learning
• Act as a mentor for the managers and senior product designers
• Create frameworks, tools, and workshops to promote alignment, motivation, and exploration of complex topics
• Evolve our legacy UX practices to create the Actabl way of doing things

Actabl’s 250+ data-rich integrations create a complete understanding of the business and outputs data-backed insights. Insights create actions that are operationalized in a comprehensive hotel operating platform. The operations platform provides visibility and accountability on execution and in turn, feeds data back into our BI platform.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience leading teams made up of both managers and ICs
• Experience designing for desktop and mobile
• Fluent english to collaborate with our primarily US-based stakeholders
• Nuanced perspective on multidisciplinary UX and how to achieve greater UX maturity
• A demonstrated record of influencing leadership in support of both UX and users
• Experience integrating user research and testing into the UX process (preferably in SaaS)
• Great attention to both design and organizational composition
• Demonstrated ability to enrich a team's culture and cross-functional partnerships

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills across different contexts
• A record of attracting, recruiting, and retaining outstanding talent in a remote environment
• Experience unifying competing UIs and design methodologies into one
• A bias towards experimentation and time to value
• Mastery of UX and UXR methodologies
• Experience with B2B products for enterprise
• Experience with Hotels or Hotel personas (Housekeepers, GMs, Concierge etc.
• Be familiar with Figma
• Bilingual Portuguese/English
• This is a remote position with a preference for location in Brazil.
