Software Resources has an immediate, contract to hire job opportunity for an IT Specialist IV Senior Network Analyst, on-site with a major organization in Orlando, FL.

The primary network technology used is Cisco IOS. Knowledge of Aruba and Juniper network platforms would be a plus but is not required.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for network analysis and design, technical assistance, and project management of data communications by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND four (4) years of wired and wireless network configuration experience; OR a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field AND three (3) years of wired and wireless network configuration experience.
Related experience to include the following: Network Administration, Firewall Management, Network Configuration Management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid Florida driver's license. Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving an agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver's physical exam. Depending on assignment, may be required to be FCIC/NCIC certified within one (1) year of accepting position. Cicso, CCNA, or CCNP and Aruba Certified Mobility Professional certification preferred. Juniper and/or Palo Alto experience preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from citizens, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to senior staff and other employees. Must have advanced computer skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must also have ability to use judgment and discretion. Ability to focus and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to meet with stakeholders to identify business objectives and requirements and translate them into an acceptable technology solution that is cost effective and consistent with agency policy.

- Plans and designs hardware/software network configurations. Oversees the installation, modification, and/or removal of wired and wireless data network planning and design activities.
- A background in wireless equipment, standards, protocols, and security standards, as well as wireless local area network (WLAN) design is necessary.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and performance of both internal (private) and external (public) agency wireless network technologies.
- Identifies, resolves, and completes complex tasks and work assignments based on level of importance in a timely manner.
- Mentors team members on best practices within their area of expertise.
- Provides technical expertise and administrative documentation to support the availability and integrity of the network.
- Coordinates and oversees testing, evaluating, and selecting new hardware/software technologies or products.
- Provides recommendations on technologies used by the Agency.
- Performs capacity planning functions by identifying, forecasting, and reporting network data in order to improve network utilization and resources.
- Provides technical guidance to other county organizations and local municipalities whom connect to the agency network.
- Establishes or provides modifications to the Network Standards for the agency. Defines functional and technical specifications.
