SWBC is seeking a talented individual serve as the primary contact point for clients. This role will provide coaching to clients to help them achieve goals; assist client in finding solutions to employee relations issues; Provide information on potential risks and opportunities to avoid risks related to employee relations issues. Support client policy development and handbook creation. The position is intricately involved with communication and facilitation of client’s policies and procedures.

Essential duties include the following:

  • Serves as point of contact for clients in addressing HR issues and communicating HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Receives and responds to client inquiries regarding employee policies and employee relations issues; provides appropriate coaching to clients.
  • Processes unemployment claims for clients and conducts unemployment hearings with clients.
  • Assists in development and updates to job descriptions for clients.
  • Develops, updates, and revises client employee handbooks based on need and new regulations.
  • Provides problem resolution and conflict management guidance for clients, including policy and procedure review, interpretation, and revision.
  • Supervises, recommends selection, develops, trains, and evaluates division staff.
  • Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, and applicable laws regarding human resources.
  • Assists clients with investigating employee relations issues, policy violations, and other performance issues, and recommend appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Develops and provides formal training classes to client companies on human resource related laws and topics.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources management, with heavy emphasis on employee relations, performance management, and staffing required.
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR)/Sr Professional Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM – CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interviewing and listening skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with emphasis on problem solving and diplomacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service-oriented skills.
  • Strong analysis, reports and recommendations skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Able to travel locally.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
  • Able to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year

Schedule:
