JOB SUMMARY
According to established procedures cleans and maintains an assigned area of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Total patient room cleaning following established procedures.
2. Moves equipment and furniture for relocation, cleaning and rearrangement.
3. Trash removal and recycling. May collect hazardous/medical waste.
4. Cleans carts/equipment and notifies manager of equipment needing repair.
5. Picks up necessary supplies and requests cleaning supplies as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Prior experience performing cleaning operations in a hospital, industrial or office setting, with minimum three months training preferred.

Work in an environment where there is limited physical discomfort due to noise, heat, dust, chemical fumes and the like. Works with chemicals that are potentially harmful if proper precautions are not used.
