Responsibilities:

In support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Threat Engineering, develop EO/IR models, provide IR/Vis sensor signatures of BMDS threat systems and flight test targets that will be used to support concept development and Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) flight testing of advanced and evolving sensor architectures. Successful candidates will use ballistic missile IR signature tools (OSC, MSLRAD), missile exhaust plume models (JANNAF standard plume codes) and kinematics simulation tools, such as TGx to generate high fidelity IR and visible sensor signatures of ballistic missile targets and scenes.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with high level programming languages (C, C++, Fortran, Python, or Matlab) required
  • Masters degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • At least 20 years of experience with ballistic missile signature modeling tools, including OSC
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team
