Engineering Technician - Scottsdale, AZ (onsite required)
1st Shift Position
Seeking Engineering Technician to join our team for an exciting opportunity to further the advancement of cutting-edge technology that supports some of the top-notch US defense/intelligence services and systems with one of our major defense industry clients. We are working directly with the hiring manager to bring on the brightest and best for this long-term contract (12-24 months) role with a
high potential for conversion to permanent. Due to being in the defense industry, this position requires US Citizenship and
Active Secret Clearance. (sorry, no exceptions, 1099, 3rd parties etc.)
Contract
hourly rate around $39.00
on w2 (contracts include limited benefits)
This outstanding opportunity involves acting as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.
Duties include:
- Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
- Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
- Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems
Ideal Background:
- An Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions
- Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices
Education: Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
