Connections Health Solutions is a physician-owned, multifaceted behavioral health company whose mission is to address any behavioral health need at any time. We are hiring a Senior Director, Social Services who will be responsible for the oversight and overall development of patient care needs at the facility. This position plans, coordinates and manages the daily clinical operations of case management staff that engage in direct patient care. Evaluates standards of quality and service, training and compliance, and clinical documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the facility clinical leader working under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services and in collaboration with the Medical Director and facility leadership to develop care practices that are high quality, that meet the company’s and the facility’s goals, and that are compliant with company polices and state and federal regulations.
  • Serves as a professional mentor to department managers across disciplines, providing guidance on organizing and running departments, working collaboratively, maintaining a service-oriented culture, and providing or finding opportunities for education, training, and development.
  • Develops quality and performance improvement programs to improve operations, quality, efficiency, patient experience, and culture within the facility.
  • Collaborates with executive leaders to establish strategic goals and to support integration planning as the facility grows and develops to meet value-based innovations in crisis care.
  • Provides feedback to shared services teams that are supporting facilities through projects looking at enhancing service line offerings, the electronic medical record (EMR) system, or other enterprise applications and reporting.
  • Assists all department managers in maintaining high quality, service-oriented clinical and operational teams through recruitment, training, planning, and development of employees.
  • Reviews discipline-specific goals with department managers and frequently provides transparency and feedback to support department performance.
  • Facilitates monthly meetings with department managers to address facility project and initiatives, including equipment, scheduling, goals, performance metrics, and improvement activities as well as staff concerns.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and other relevant regulatory and accrediting bodies including JCAHO and CARF.
  • Participates and supports the planning, development, and implementation of clinical operations that deliver care that is timely, safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and recovery-oriented, in alignment with the Institute of Medicine’s aims for quality healthcare.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Independent Licensure by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or AZ Board of Nursing (RN)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical field such as social services, nursing, or psychology
  • 5 years of experience in behavioral healthcare
  • 3 years of managerial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multi-services hospital environment with matrix reporting structures
  • 3 years of administrative leadership in a crisis or other psychiatric care facility, demonstrating experience and performance in carrying a broad set of projects and improving department performance.
