The Senior Analyst, Finance & Essbase Developer is responsible for providing in-depth data analytics and reports for key stakeholders in the organization to include developing, validating and maintaining internal multi-dimensional databases (cubes) as well as external (cloud based) databases. This position provides critical financial and performance information used for decision making at all levels of the company, including retail operations, merchandising, support departments and executive management.

The Senior Analyst will collaborate with internal and external resources to improve data accuracy, integrity, and integration and serves as a resource for improving data flow and accessibility to the business users. This position develops and maintains templates provided to the business users to easily retrieve and analyze data, as well as address user requests for specific information or troubleshoot user issues with Essbase or Excel. This position adds and maintains Essbase and 1010 data users, user groups, and database access.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• 
  Support and develop technical solutions to improve the design and architecture of the Hyperion Essbase system and process
• Create and enhance Calc-scripts to optimize Hyperion Essbase performance Including data uploads, exports and transfers
• Perform database maintenance and updates as needed to meet performance and security requirements
• Evaluate and ensure the databases provide accurate information to management and staff for business decisions

• Review and validate reporting data in Essbase databases to ensure information accuracy to support business decisions

• Collect data and compile reports for special projects and internal/external reporting requests

• Provide analytical support to stores, operations, merchandising and support departments

• Mentor staff on databases, efficiencies, and processes

• Develop and maintain Excel templates to allow users to easily view and use Essbase data
• • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Proven understanding of multi-dimensional databases and data warehousing concepts

• 5+ years of development and implementation experience in Hyperion Essbase

• 5+ years of related work experience leading technology changes and delivery of business analysis

• Advanced skills in VBA, Macros, and automation

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and function with little supervision

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Experience: Minimum of five years directly related experience

Other: Must be available for after hours on-call work

Physical: Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects
