Job Overview:

The paralegal in this position will engage in a broad range of paralegal and administrative duties in support of the internal M&A function of LPL Financial Holdings Inc. This position reports to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel – Strategic Transactions, and is a highly visible role that requires frequent interaction with the Company’s executives, as well as employees across the firm and outside law firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the drafting of documents in connection with strategic acquisitions, including non-disclosure agreements, term sheets, letters of intent and purchase agreements
  • Recordkeeping related to the firm’s M&A activity, including closing sets, corporate authorizations, due diligence activities and transaction logs
  • Maintaining transaction checklists and work plans
  • Serving as a go-to resource for M&A-related document requests from in-house attorneys and business partners
  • Managing and advising team members of regarding transaction timelines, including the expiration of confidentiality and exclusivity periods and applicable earn-out periods.

Requirements:

  • Minimum four years’ experience in a corporate paralegal role (in-house or law firm)
  • Extensive experience supporting transaction-related documents and functions
  • Strong Microsoft Office/Adobe skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Acrobat
  • Familiarity with legal document management software such as iManage helpful
  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize, collaborate and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable communicating with senior executives and their assistants
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication abilities, including correct punctuation, spelling and grammar


Pay Range:

$36.15-$54.23/hour

The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
