Job Summary

The copywriter will be responsible for leading the creative work produced on two or three accounts. This role includes assigning teams, inspiring those teams to create exceptional concepts consistently, and working closely with account management to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the quality of our creative work, the value of our services, and our responsiveness to their needs. You'll lead projects and own client relationships, focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer while pushing the creative envelope. With new tech rolling out all the time, there's always an opportunity to create something innovative on behalf of our clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and reviews creative briefs that provide strategic insight and creative inspiration
  • Assigns creative teams best suited for each project based on ability and workload
  • Manages workloads to maximize productivity of the copy team, ensuring that everyone is busy
  • Provides written and face-to-face feedback for annual performance reviews, as well as ongoing feedback throughout the year
  • Independently leads campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners
  • Proactively presenting a campaign to brand clients and their partner media agency
  • Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts retains, and grows an audience
  • Writing that is straightforward and error-free content for a website that reflects the company’s voice
  • Proactively working with account management to grow our business at existing clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time to make aggressive deadlines
  • Partner with art directors, designers, program managers, developer’s strategists, and producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
  • Ability to meet with clients to understand their message, brand voice, and target audience
  • Develops and proposes copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are fully approved
  • Collaborates with clients to edit and modify the copy to meet their content expectations
  • Interprets creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience at advertising agencies and in-house creative departments
  • Must have an online portfolio URL in your resume - demonstrating big, campaign able thinking that can extend into any medium
  • Solid writing background in journalism (or research)
  • Bachelor of arts degree (Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts, or related field preferred)
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, as well as their use within marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills that demonstrate the ability to create campaign content that attracts retains, and grows an audience
  • Experience in audio-only media
  • Interpersonal skills and experience to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Work Schedule

  • Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 9am-6pm EST
  • Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met
