Summary:
Provides a range of training and OD consultation services on the development and implementation of key strategies for creating and sustaining a high-performing organization. Responsible for the design, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of programs that build employee and leadership competencies to improve individual, team and organizational effectiveness. Works collaboratively at organization and division levels to ensure business planning, performance monitoring, and learning processes that inform and support each other.
Detailed responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops, delivers and evaluates training programs and initiatives that support organization goals and strategic objectives. Incorporates classroom, blended learning, eLearning, webinar and other training methodologies to meet the professional development needs of staff and leaders throughout the organization.
  • Coordinates administration, completion of prerequisites, delivery, and post-evaluation for training programs through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Makes ongoing improvements to learning programs and initiatives based on evaluation results and stakeholder feedback.
  • Serves as a lead program manager, developer and facilitator for key leadership/cohort programs like Leadership Essentials (LE) and Healthcare Leadership Certificate Program (HLCP) and provides back-up support when needed for other programs.
  • Facilitates new employee orientation (NEO) and makes recommendations for continued engagement and onboarding of new hires.
  • Develops collaborative relationships and serves as an internal consultant to assess, recommend and implement timely, relevant, and cost-effective solutions for customized individual, team, and organizational development that align with instructional design and OD best practices. Builds partnerships with human resources, key business leaders and senior management.
  • Implements and supports change efforts that align with the organization's strategic plan and add value through measurable results.
  • Participates on special projects and initiatives that support the overall mission and vision of the organization.
  • Maintains current industry knowledge to support the future growth of the department and organization.

Complexity of Work: Must have: demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles and theory, organizational development, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes; proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite; critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a fast-paced stressful environment, deal with ambiguity and demonstrate learning agility. Takes initiative to identify, recommend and implement solutions.

Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of internal consultation and instructional design/corporate training experience working with leadership at various levels.
