One is looking for an experienced and energetic person for the position of Senior Buyer, to support our team in the Energy Storage System segment.

Location: This position will be at the One Boston, MA office.

• The Senior Buyer will be responsible to manage, expand and develop supplier base for Energy Storage systems in meeting the rapid growth business requirements.
• This position will report to the Director of Procurement, Energy Storage Systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead long term supplier strategy creation. Create and implement strategic sourcing capability, supplier strategies and action plans to meet Business Unit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Engineering, supplier quality, and program management teams.
• Secure supplier capacity and availability for energy storage demand, taking into consideration cost and technology requirements.
• Ensure that Quality, Cost, Lead Time targets are met for One’s Energy Storage global supplier base.
• Ensure compliance to Supply Management processes, procedures, and Commodity strategies.
• Develop and implement cost model tools to ensure understanding of cost drivers to achieve cost reduction targets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing or procurement with proven track record
• Experience purchasing electrical, mechanical, and managing Engineering service providers. Cooling systems, HV cable, and metal enclosures experience is also very helpful.
• Experience in Energy storage business, renewable energy business, or EV business preferred.
• Excellent understanding of direct material cost drivers and proven track record of cost reduction strategies implementation
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentations skills
• Solution oriented, pro-active, problem solver and results driven.
• Ability to negotiate and maintain supplier relationships.
• Ability to work in fast pace, dynamic and changing environment.
• Work schedule: Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 8am-5pm EST
• Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met.
• Flexible work schedule and environment, see company policy if applicable.
