Pay Rate: 171,198 - 235,397

Senior Associate

Delve Underground is looking for a Senior Associate with 15-20 years of relevant experience in geotechnical or structural engineering for underground and heavy civil projects for its DC area office. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and cultivated skills in providing technical leadership for large, heavy civil engineering contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards
• Provides technical leadership to regional staff in structural engineering with particular experience in delivering major infrastructure projects and underground works.
• Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of infrastructure projects to ensure that goals and/or objectives are accomplished
• Conduct field assessments and evaluations of existing structures
• Establishes work plans and multidisciplinary staffing for each phase of a project
• Directs and coordinates activities of engineers and technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and on budget
• Participates in interviews and presentations as applicable
• Foster relationships with existing and new clients and teaming partners. Meet to discuss current and future work.
• Occasional regional travel required

Qualifications:

• BE or BS in geotechnical or structural engineering; ME or MS degree considered an asset.
• Minimum 15 years related experience in structural technical roles in the heavy civil engineering industry, preferably on underground/tunnelling projects.
• Strong communication (both oral and written) and leadership skills.
• Aptitude and interest in business development, team building and partnering.
• Motivated self-starter, who is able to work well remotely as well.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred
