Position - Senior Accountant

This position works under the supervision of the Director of Finance. They maintain financial reports, records and general ledges. Responsibilities also include bookkeeping, filling tax returns, researching and analyzing account and preparing financial statements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
  • Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
  • Prepares accrual entries and maintains prepaid accounts.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Reconcile bank accounts cash/credit cards/loans.
  • Prepare debit/credit memos price corrections, tax adjustments.
  • Prepare, file and schedule sales tax payments.
  • Provide information, data and assistance to external auditors.
