About the Senior Account Executive Position

To fuel its next phase of growth, Verndale is seeking a Senior Account Executive. As a Senior AE you will be joining an outstanding team whose sole focus is to help brands grow by creating the best digital experiences for their customers. As part of that team you will own responsibility for driving new business revenue within enterprise accounts in your defined territory. This is a hunter role. Taking a customer-first approach, you are an expert in CX/UX business issues and how they impact our customer's success. You will immerse yourself in learning how Verndale's unique capabilities address these issues so you can prescribe value-added services that truly increase the competitiveness and success of our customers. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven success in closing new business within enterprise accounts, leveraging a value-based sales methodology. A background in selling creative and/or systems integration professional services is an absolute requirement. A background selling complex software offerings within large enterprise accounts can also be a plus. A strong ability to engage at the C-level within Marketing, Operations, and IT to uncover relevant critical business issues, identify the impact on their business and discuss possible options to address those issues is a key component to the success of this role.


Responsibilities

  • Exceed new business quota for assigned territory on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Thrives in a team selling environment.

  • Conduct business with impeccable honesty & integrity – Both internally & externally.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and BDR resources but take ownership of maintaining an adequate funnel of qualified opportunities over time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of documented success selling complex offerings at a VP/C-suite level within F1000 accounts.
  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience selling digital web services is required, preferably within the Optimizely/Sitecore/Adobe eco-system is required.
  • Deep reliance on a value-based sales methodology to exceed quota.
  • Strong closing skills.
  • Can think at a high level and still be detail oriented.
  • Thrives within Cross Functional Teams – Both internally & externally
  • Salesforce, HubSpot and MS Office Skills.
