Position: Program Security Representative

Clearance: Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance w/SCI is required and current within the last five years

Work Location: Arlington, VA

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday onsite (Regular Full-time)

Work authorization: United States (Required)


Position Summary

The Program Security Representative will provide “day-to-day” multi-discipline analysis for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. The PSR’s provide comprehensive briefings to SID leadership on sensitive test plans involving unclassified and classified projects as directed. You must develop program indoctrination briefings for assigned programs, indoctrinate newly assigned personnel, and de-brief departing personnel. The primary function is to provide multi-discipline security support for one or more of the customer’s Special Access Programs (SAPs). The PSR must demonstrate technical security competence, excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to determine and implement the proper and effective security policy and procedures for the protection of classified information for Collateral, SAP, or SCI efforts. The Program Security Representative must have a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information, and be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph. You must be able to work onsite in Arlington, VA.


Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform OPSEC analysis and provide other OPSEC support, including identification of critical program information (CPI), collecting and analyzing threat data, developing and coordinating program OPSEC plans.
  • Conduct security reviews of documents submitted for public release that involve assigned programs.
  • Provide recommendations to the PSO as to whether CUI or classified information is present and release should be approved, the material should be released as is, or the material should be modified prior to release.
  • Coordinate with International Security and the DARPA International Cooperation Office, as required, to facilitate the creation and coordination of Designated Disclosure Letters and Project Agreement documentation required to support the release and sharing of specific CUI or CMI with foreign allies and participants.
  • Support the creation, processing, coordination, and approval of SAPF/SCIF and Automated Information Systems (AIS) accreditations, as well as entering related information on facilities, IT systems, personnel, and contracts into appropriate information security management systems, including:
  • DARPA Information Management System (archive)
  • DARPA Facility and Security Tracking System (DFASTS)
  • DARPA Security Control Suite (SCS)
  • Joint Access Database Environment (JADE)
  • DARPA Security Classification Research Tool (DSCRT)
  • DARPA Security Management Database (DSMD)
  • DISS (old JPAS)
  • NSS (automated 254)

Position Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Special Access Programs
  • Strong knowledge of Executive Order 13526, NISPOM Overprint, ICD series, DCID series, DoD 5205.7 SAP Manuals, and other applicable security policies
  • Must have a bachelor degree and four (4) years of related experience or, no degree and six (6) years of related experience
  • Available to work before/after typical office hours as work may demand
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Excellent briefing and technical writing skills.
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Read, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools and systems to include Excel, Project, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Security Certifications (SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC, SPSC, CISSP, Security +) preferred
  • Complete a security screening interview.
  • The employee must maintain clearance, eligibility throughout employment.
  • Must meet client suitability.
