Job Assignment Details:

• Competitive HourlyPay Rate (available upon request)
  • Specific hourly pay rate is negotiable and will be discussed further during hiring process (dependent on experience, qualifications, etc.)
• Benefits: Insurance Benefits provided (Medical, Vision & Dental)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs. per week (Full-Time, 5days per week)
• Assignment Length: August 2023 - June 2024 (exact dates still to be determined by the district)
  • High likelihood to extend through the full 2024-2025school year as well!
• Case Load Description:
  • Hired candidate will be assigned to work primarily in a health office nursing position working with K - 8th Gradestudents across the district's 3 primary locations in Chicago
• Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs student health procedures as required throughout the day by student's doctor & medical plan (Health Assessments, Triaging Students, Administering Medications, Diabetic Care, Basic Wound Care, Student Health Plans, etc.)
  • Reports to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school & student health matters.
  • Observes student(s)on a regular basis to detect health needs.
  • Maintains responsibility for emergency care of assigned students.
  • Advises on modification of the education program to meet health needs of individual students.

Job Qualifications:

• Degree: Bachelor's or Associate's in Nursing
• License / Certification: Active Illinois RN license
• Previous school or pediatric experience preferred, but district is also open to new grads!
