Location: Camden, NJ (Hybrid, average two (2) days on-site weekly)

Job Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Reports To: Team Leader, School-Based Mentoring

JOB DESCRIPTION

BBBSI seeks a full-time School-Based Program Coordinator to facilitate a new cohort of Mentor 2.0 matches in addition to our standard SB programming. This position supports "Big" and "Little" matches, through the coordination of programs at various school sites, online, and at corporations. This position will facilitate the college readiness curriculum for the Mentor 2.0 program. Some evening/weekend work may be required, with the majority of time spent during traditional work hours. Travel to the Mentor 2.0 three-day annual conference is also required.

Candidates with a strong connection to the community that BBBSI serves and the Southeastern Pennsylvania/Southern New Jersey area receive preferential consideration.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (OR an Associate’s Degree and a minimum 2 years relevant experience

Professional Requirements: Teaching experience, as well as experience working with adult populations, youth service organizations, and with socio-economically diverse populations is preferred. Must be effective presenting in group environments (e.g., 5-30 people) both virtually and in-person. Must possess the ability to effectively utilize BBBSI and iMentor’s internal database systems for tracking and recording information.

Additional Requirements: Daily access to a car, valid driver's license, with state-required automobile insurance minimums is preferred for the purpose of traveling to schools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: the ability to work independently; remain sedentary for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day); lift 10-25lbs; push, pull, bend kneel, as needed for normal operations.
