As a School Based Clinician who is currently a Licensed Social Worker or eligible to sit for the exam, you are responsible for the coordination and delivery of clinical services in a school setting within the Octorara School District in Atglen, Pa. The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations. Demonstrates the skills, knowledge, and ability to understand, implement, as well as impact regulatory guidelines and professional standards. This is done in accordance with the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Crisis Management

  • Develop Truancy Elimination programming and implement strategies that motivate youth and families to attend school regularly
  • Represent Octorara at local truancy hearings and provide appropriate resources such as attendance reports, engagement records, and truancy elimination plans while offering encouragement and family support
  • Assist families in the linkage/connection to school programming and community resources
  • Case Management
  • Attend IEP meetings, SAP Team meetings, and all additional meetings as identified by Octorara School District to ensure collaboration and continuity of care when delivering social work services

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS)* center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.*

  • EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline. LSW or LSW eligible.*

  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children*
