Location

Located in Central Florida on the Atlantic Coast, in what is called the Space Coast and considered a high-tech corridor, the City of Palm Bay is both vibrant and diverse and home to more than 100,000 residents. Full of natural beauty and outdoor adventures, Palm Bay has many wonderful features for young, single professionals, growing families, or professionals planning for future retirement. From Turkey Creek to the Indian River Lagoon, residents are close to beautiful waterways and hiking trails, while also being less than twenty minutes from the ocean. Palm Bay is only a few hours from major cities like Miami, an hour away from the theme parks in Orlando, and close to famous beaches like Cocoa Beach. The Space Coast is home to the Kennedy Space Center with the new SpaceX, so you can watch a rocket launch literally from your own back yard. Venture out on an airboat ride along the St. John’s River or snorkel with the manatees in one of our natural springs. Try an evening beach walk to watch sea turtles nest or meander down the Turkey Creek in your own kayak and spot alligators sunning themselves on its sandy banks. Golf at one of our various country clubs or shop at Melbourne’s historic downtown shopping district and farmer’s market. Attend a play at the historic Cocoa Village playhouse and enjoy fine dining or take a Space Coast River tour out of Merritt Island to get an upfront look at our dolphins. Cruise the Caribbean as you embark from nearby Port Canaveral or take a nightly casino cruise out into the Atlantic. It is a great place to live at a slower pace and reasonable cost of living, but wherever you look there is a lot to do.
